Finally! After many months working, the serious and brave Moto Club Artiglio of Attigio has launched his Grand Prix Acerbis of Italy tonight with a well organized Brema Super Test that had a lot of success!
On the results side, we were again expecting a lot from Mathias BELLINO (F – Husqvarna), but at the end, we had nothing… As his engine stopped in the first lap, he lost too many time then to be able to set the best time and win his fifth Super Test win of the year. Then Loïc LARRIEU (F – Yamaha), Matthew PHILLIPS (AUS – Sherco) or Taylor ROBERT (USA – KTM) had the way free to the victory… But, if these three riders made great times and ended in the Top 5 (PHILLIPS 2nd, LARRIEU 3rd and ROBERT 4th), they were not fast enough to beat “veteran” Christophe NAMBOTIN (F – KTM)!
Freaking fast during the two laps, NAMBOT’ was just too strong for his rival of the day Pascal RAUCHENECKER (AUT – Husqvarna) and finished the Brema Super Test as the only rider to be under the minute and 50 seconds (1’49”80)…
We also have to underline the performance of another “veteran”: Ivan CERVANTES (E – KTM). “Torito” signs the fifth position of the test with a good time of 1’51”09.
In Juniors, after letting twice the victory to Josep GARCIA (E – Husqvarna), Giacomo REDONDI (I – Honda) couldn’t offer another win to his rival in front of his audience. Mission completed ahead his teammate and fellow Davide SORECA (I – Honda) and Albin ELOWSON (S – Husqvarna). Finally, in FIM Youth Cup 125cc, the French Jean-Baptiste NICOLOT (Yamaha) set the best time over Lee SEALEY (GB – Yamaha) and Valerian DEBAUD (F – Yamaha).
That Grand Prix Acerbis of Italy has started pretty well! If the public was present for this very first test of the weekend, more “tifosis” are awaited from tomorrow morning in Fabriano… No doubt, the Moto Club Artiglio of Attigio made it big and the race should be even greater!
