We have not seen Helder RODRIGUES (P) at an Enduro Grand Prix since 2013, during his home Grand Prix in Torres Vedras! After more than two years away, the 2011 Rally Raid World Champion is back for more, and he will try his hand at the forthcoming EnduroGP!
The Portuguese rider will be present at the Grand Prix AMV Seguros of Euskadi (Gordexola) this weekend, and the Grand Prix Acerbis of Italy (Fabriano) in mid July!
Riding a Yamaha WR250F, the upbeat and friendly man from Lisbon will therefore challenge the likes of Eero REMES (SF – TM), Nathan WATSON (GB – KTM) and all the strong riders of Enduro 1. His steady ‘rally style’, is less about speed and more about perseverance and consistency, and that could be what he requires to fight with the best riders in EnduroGP. The official Yamaha rider is capable of good performances in the smallest category of the series…
In addition, the paddock will be happy to see the amicable rider back for the next two rounds of the FIM Maxxis EnduroGP World Championship.
Whilst he has now ridden in Rally races for almost 10 years, RODRIGUES has never forgotten nor denied his Enduro past; and he is always keen to come to at least one GP per season, depending on what his schedule allows. He also remains one of the best ambassadors for Enduro in Rally sport!
